Clinical Observership and Hands-on ENT Surgical Training are professional-development programmes. They are not NBEMS qualifications and are not equivalent to a DNB, a Diploma in ENT (NBE) or any other recognised degree or diploma.
Acceptance depends on eligibility, availability and hospital approval. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place on any programme.
Hands-on participation depends on valid medical registration, credentialing, assessed competence, patient informed consent, institutional approval and applicable law.
Trainees are not guaranteed the opportunity to perform surgery independently. The responsible surgeon and the hospital control all clinical decisions and may stop a trainee’s participation at any time in the interest of patient safety.
Fees, refunds and cancellations are as stated in the programme letter issued to the trainee. Fees shown on this website are indicative, and GST is payable in addition.
The certificate states what the trainee actually did during the programme: observation, simulation, assisting or supervised participation.
Trainees must keep all patient information confidential. Taking photographs or videos of patients, procedures or records is not allowed without the hospital’s written permission.
